Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Executive – Purchase & Stores to manage procurement, vendor coordination, inventory control, and store operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation skills, experience in procurement processes, inventory management, and supplier relationship management, preferably within the diagnostics, healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or laboratory products industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors and suppliers.
- Float enquiries (RFQs) and obtain competitive quotations.
- Prepare comparative statements and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Department for invoice verification and purchase documentation.
- Maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), inward registers, and purchase records.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain minimum and reorder stock levels.
- Track product expiry dates, batch numbers, and stock movement.
- Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, and Operations teams for smooth material flow.
- Conduct physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation.
- Maintain purchase registers, vendor records, and MIS reports.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and inventory control procedures.
- Draft and manage professional email communication with vendors regarding quotations, purchase orders, deliveries, and payment follow-ups.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in Purchase, Procurement, Stores, Inventory, or Supply Chain.
- Experience in Diagnostics, Medical Devices, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Laboratory Products, Biomedical Equipment, or Hospital Industry will be preferred.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in B.Com, B.Sc., BBA, BBM, or any equivalent discipline.
- Diploma or Certification in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Procurement, or Logistics will be an added advantage.
